Information Technology has gotten widely used across different types of industries during recent years. Especially along with the development of Internet more and more enterprises begin to pay more attention to the implementation of electronic business (or electronic commerce), aiming to take the opportunity to develop business and gain competitive advantage. During the practice process of E-business, enterprises need an efficient method to evaluate and guide the E-business implementation. Based on the evaluation results, enterprises can firstly analyze their specific requirements and focus on more important features of the E-business project.To meet this requirement, based on the analysis of the previous research achievements both at home and abroad, this thesis establishes an E-business evaluation model. In the model the successful factors related to E-business applications are analyzed and the values realized by the adoption of E-business are classified. The model provides all-round measures to enterprises that are planning to implement E-business project evaluation, which gives enterprises valuable suggestions to carry out E-business evaluation, make sure the value realization approaches and improve their E-business applications.Firstly, the current thesis introduces some E-Business related concepts, such as information system, electronic business, value, information system evaluation and so on. Then we review the evaluation theory, especially referring to evaluation model of Information technology and information system, putting forward the core E-business evaluation model. Following the setup of evaluation model, the thesis verifies the model using the data collected by the questionnaire from a practical case, along with the evaluation of reliability and effectiveness of all indexes. At last, the conclusions of the current research and suggestions for the future focus on this topic are summarized.
